The Tsipouradika of Volos
The Tsipouradika
They began in 1922 with the refugees from Asia Minor who settled in the city of Volos. The area has no less than 400 tsipouradika. Many are located on the beach and scattered in the city’s narrow streets for traditional tsipouro and seafood delicacies.

For shopping or for a walk, for walking or coffee. It is the main axis of the shopping centre. There is also the church of the patron saint of the city, Agios Nikolaos, with its classical bell tower.

It is a new airport located about 20 km outside the city of Volos. With regular flights and charters to Italy, Germany and England. It is connected by buses and taxis to the centre for the convenience of visitors.

One of the largest commercial ports of Greece is the main starting point for ships and speedboats to the islands of the Northern Sporades: Skiathos, Skopelos and Alonissos.

It connects Volos with the mainland and is located near the city centre. With its classic building a trademark of Greek railway stations. This is where the famous train of Pelion, the Moutzouris, is parked, which in summer “goes for a ride” in its incomparable beauties.
